Before the Sendoff: Ambulance Prep

I picked up the ambulance on June 20, 2014.  To get the ambulance, I traveled from downtown Los Angeles to Oceanside via the Amtrak train.  I set up my workstation just as I used to do on my train rides to work--my computer, and my coffee.

 But this time I got to enjoy the view from the train of the beach!

 Here I arrived in Oceanside for my pickup to get the ambulance.

Next I picked up the ambulance.  That day, I spent several hours at the DMV getting the ambulance registered in California.  And I also filled up the ambulance for the first time...$95!  Looks like gas will be one of our big expenses.

Next, I had to remove the old lettering and replace it with new lettering and add stickers.  I was lucky enough to meet Farid at SignFX who donated the lettering to our project.
