Hello! We are " The Roasting Cooks" a group of people who care about this world. Our mission is to travel from San Diego CA . Comayagua Honduras in an ambulance , it will be donated to the people of Honduras , with all school materials and medical supplies that we can get on the road. our trip is 3 weeks and we hope you can join us via streaming , social networking, or in person to spend time with you in your city ( Mexico , Guatemala , El Salvador and Honduras ) .
Maybe you're a Couchsurfer and want to invite us stay in your place and show how people live in your city . We are open to any suggestions of activities.

Hey!
I am Karina from New Zealand! A pastry chef, with a love to travel, I can't seem to stay in the same country for a long time! So far I have lived in Australia and Canada over the past 4 years and have also travelled these countries as well as the USA and Dominican Republic. I am looking forward to my next adventure I will be part of the Roasting Cooks travelling to Honduras! Then I will carry onto explore the rest of Central and South America.

Waqaa! I'm Julia, and I am originally from Wisconsin but have spent the last two years living in rural Alaska. I am an elementary school teacher who loves to travel, learn new languages, and explore new cultures. I am very much a "people person" and I really enjoy getting to know folks from all around the world and hearing their stories. I can't wait to meet new friends on this great adventure! I am excited to get the chance to explore more of the world, eat lots of new food, see some beautiful sights, and hopefully get the chance to help others along the way.

I live in Cuernavaca, "the city of eternal spring". Of course it is always hot, the food is wonderful and I live with a cool dog and an amazing cat. I have my little garden and try to be Eco-Friendly in every way possible. I love to travel and my passion is cooking. My Swedish grandfather taught me knowledge and my grandmothers showed me the love of cooking . I always want to try new things, and on this trip I want to eat as much as I can, I love my country and I want to explore those countries that had not been before.
So I am part of the cooks. I'm really anxious to show people a few tricks that I know about the new techniques in the kitchen and in the orchard.

Why are we doing this ?

We love to help, love to travel, we love to meet people, we are young people who want to change something in the minds of people around us. If the people around us are happy, we are happy.

Who is involved?

There are some organizations that support us on this journey , and we are going to donate the ambulance.

We need to raise $1,000 for Growers First www.growersfirst.org
We need to raise $1,000 to cover the cost of ambulance.
We need to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of gas, food, lodging, medical and school supplies to support to the people of Comayagua, Honduras.
